We offer Adults Karate training for beginners to black belts. Our Adults Karate class is based on the martial arts discipline of Isshinryu Karate, one of many Okinawan Karate styles. Students in this program will be learning a variety of self-defense style techniques that will be taught primarily through karate kata (forms). In addition to Isshinryu kata, skills will be developed through the use of partner drills, kumite (sparring), and more in order to enhance the techniques of the kata. Karate beginners are welcome, as well as those looking to improve their overall health and fitness, as well as self discipline and goal setting.

We also offer kids karate classes. Beginning at age 6, children can start in our Pups Karate program. (Some exceptions may apply). Offering karate for kids, this class is also based on the martial arts discipline of Isshinryu Karate, one of many Okinawan Karate styles. Martial Arts students in this program will be learning a variety of kids self defense techniques that will be taught to them primarily through kata (forms). In addition to kata, skills will be developed through the use of games, karate drills, and other fun activities to keep them learning in a fun & creative atmosphere!

We also offer specialty classes such as Okinawan Weaponry. This class is based on the martial arts discipline of Ryukyu Kobudo, the ancient weapons art of Okinawa. Students in this program will be learning a variety of weapons techniques that will be taught to them primarily through kata (forms). In addition to kata, skills will be developed through the use of partner drills, kumite (sparring), and more in order to enhance the techniques of the kata. Some of the Okinawan weapons we train with include Sai, Bo, Kama, Eku, Tonfa, Tekko, Nunchucks, and Techu. Okinawan weapons were originally chosen because the island was under Japanese law at the time and were therefore banned from having weapons, so the people began training with farm tools such as oars, long wooden staffs, scythes, and more.
